I like to use a liner 'pencil'.... not really a pencil more like a lipstick but more solid feeling liner that you twist up and don't have to sharpen... to line my water line with. I wouldn't think that you would line your water line with powder or a gel liner. Can you? These are the only eye liners I see on your site, know any recipes for this type of eye liner? Could you use a lipstick formula? Thanks!

At Tkbtrading they have a product called nylon12 that sounds really neat... But yes it's synthetic. It's like silica microspheres in that it is spherical beads not flat so great for filling small lines, has great skin feel and doesn't block pores like mica can. (According to them) I was wondering if you have ever heard of this product and if so, your thoughts on it? I could only find a tiny bit of info at truthinageing.com/ingrediants/nylon12. Also, are they right in saying that mica can block pores?.... Acne prone here and wanting to avoid that! Thanks

Hi! I've been searching for the initial test you do when trying out new fillers using different percentages of materials. It might not be fillers, but when you try something at different ratios to see how it acts is essentially what I'm looking for.

I've found the 3 MMU filler ones, and that's not it, and I've been searching new -> old and can't find it either. (not the most effective search, but I'm trying.)

I would like to make a solid face cleansing bar, not cold process. Any suggestions? I am not sure which ingredients to use to make it hard, but still gentle on my skin. I have made lotions, bubble bath and bars and plan to try some shampoo bars and lotion bars soon. I have been doing some research on face cleansers, but haven't started experimenting yet. I have oily and sensitive skin.
Thanks for your help!

I love you. That is all!!! Thank you for this! When ever I want to make something, you have already covered everything I need to know, and it's super awesome because there are usually no books that I can buy that will tell me this information.

Hi Susan, I want to press my eyeshadows with Dimethicone but I can only find Dimethicone 1000, is this a good choice? What's the difference between 1000 and 350? Also, do I need a antioxidant or preservative and if so which ones would you recommend?

Hi Nicki! I've written about dimethicone quite a lot on the blog, so a search or clicking on the link in the ingredient lists on the right hand side of the blog will turn up more results. I've also written about binding eye shadows too, which you can find in the list above you or in a search. I'll have more on this topick in the next four weeks.
