What's not to love about fizzing bath bomb cupcakes? They smell nice, they look adorable, and they fizz. But they are not edible. As I always say, "If you eat this and you die, I'll be sad. But it's not my fault." My recipe is usually 60 grams citric acid, 120 grams baking soda, 13 grams soy bean or other oil, 4 to 6 grams Natrabath (optional) and up to 5 grams of scent. (I add the oils to make the mixture fizzing, smelly, and moisturizing.) You can colour these how you wish, but do not use food colouring -- it contains too much water and will set off the fizzing reaction. You can use non-water based colourings like powdered or liquid chocolate colouring. And if you use anything with vanilla, it will brown over time. So use a brown base and call it a warm vanilla cupcake and you'll be just fine!
The icing is just a royal icing you can pipe onto the top of the bath bomb after a few minutes of letting it set. Again, check out Anne-Marie's blog for all the details!
