Digest of posts, March 24 to 31,2018

There are so many posts from the last few days, and I am having trouble getting this post to look the way I want - which is to say, I’d like it not to be awful - so please visit this post on the new blog to see them all.

Digest for the new blog for March 18th to 23rd, 2018

I've been having such great fun sharing micellar water formulas with you, as you can see from the list of posts for the last week! I've had to stop so you can try a few and share your thoughts with me. I have plans for a biphasic make-up remover in the next few weeks after we have more fun playing with surfactants!

If you're a Patreon subscriber, the e-zine is on its way, but I can’t stop writing it! I’m hoping to have it to you by Monday if we can get a few pictures done by then. Since last month’s experiment with giving you a coupon with a code to use in the courses & e-books section of the new blog worked so well, we’ll be offering this month’s e-zine that way, too. It’s great because you will never lose any materials again ‘cause it’ll always be part of your account on the new blog. Having said that, definitely download it and back it up, but it’s nice to know it’s always there!

Patreon means this is a Patreon exclusive post, and you have to be a Patreon subscriber to access it. (As a note, you can subscribe for as little as $1 a month to access the blog! Click here to learn more.)

Patreon Q&A means this is a question someone posed on Patreon and I'm answering it. You have to be a Patreon subscriber to access it.

If it doesn't say Patreon on it after January 1st, it means it's open to everyone.

Administrative stuff means stuff about the blog, like how things work or will work.

Discussion is an open thread where I hope to see your comments, thoughts, or questions, although you're welcome to share on any post over there.

Open thread is a post where you can discuss any topic you wish!

Digest of links to the new blog for March 9th to March 17th, 2018

We've been whipping up a storm of exfoliating foaming bath butters and micellar waters over on the new blog, so I hope you'll join me on the new blog as we have fun formulating all manner of lathery, bubbly things!

We’re continuing to move things over from the old blog to the new, so you can find things like the ingredients and emollients list under “resources” on the site. That’s where you’ll find the list of links for the duplication formulas as well as the emollients section.

All the posts from January 31, 2011, are on the new blog, so if you have a comment, I’ll ask that you seek out the post on the new blog to share it there. All the posts have the same date and the same title, so it’s easy to find it. I’m getting spammed to heck over here, so I’m moderating all posts, whereas the new blog has a great new system on which you can share links and pictures and such.

Weekly digest for March 3, 2018 to March 9th, 2018

We’re continuing to move things over from the old blog to the new, so you can find things like the ingredients and emollients list under “resources” on the site. That’s where you’ll find the list of links for the duplication formulas as well as the emollients section.

As well, we’ve started a section called “videos” where I’m sharing things I’ve done with the HSCG as well as the few videos on my YouTube channel.

I'm having great fun sharing some of the new surfactants and formulas I've been working on and testing since late 2016. I have to give these things time to see if there are any changes, like alterations in smell or colour, loss of viscosity, separation, and more. I'll be sharing more about the various surfactants I've been using over the next few weeks.

I continue to be so happy about all the comments and interactions on the new blog! It makes me so happy to see you all sharing your thoughts, asking questions, answering questions, and generally having a great time talking about this craft we all love so much! Please join us and be part of this awesome community!

Don't forget to join us on the open thread for February, too!

Weekly digest, February 25th to March 3rd, 2018

Welcome to this week's digest of posts! I'm sharing what's been going on over at the new blog with you on the old blog so those of you who receive these notifications by email can see what's happening!

Just so you know, you can find posts all the way back to January 31st, 2011 on the new blog, so I'd encourage you to take a look at what's over there! We're working on February 2009 to January 30, 2011 over the next few weeks.

What is going on where you live? In the Fraser Valley we normally have lots of rain, especially in winter, but this year we seem to be alternating with lovely sunny days and low humidity. In the morning we load up the humidifier and at night we apply body butters to hydrate. My husband’s legs dry out at the drop of a hat and he will scratch them raw. I have to keep reminding him to protect his legs.

As always don't forget to check on the blog regularly to see what's new!
